Vote for Kate's Best Tour Coat & The Princes Party in Memphis!

Hello-Hello dear readers,

It's time for our end of tour polls and we're kicking them off with a vote for Kate's Best Coat. The Duchess debuted a selection of designer coats throughout the tour, many of which sparked lively debate and plenty of differing opinions. It will be incredibly interesting to see which one proves the most popular, and indeed, the least popular.

For the Cambridges arrival in Wellington, New Zealand, Kate stepped off the plane in a scarlet military style coat by Catherine Walker. The Russian Greatcoat is described as "sharply tailored with high collar, full skirt and gleaming buttons". The entire look was a hit for Her Royal Highness and the perfect beginning to a pretty amazing tour.

Elegant Kate chose a cornflower blue Alexander McQueen coat for the royal visit to Blenheim. The belted piece features peplum overlay and a buckled belt. This garment is an excellent example of the fabulous relationship between Kate and Sarah Burton. The designer really knows how to dress the Duchess and create something perfect for the occasion.

When the Cambridges visited Cambridge, Kate chose the vivid green Erdem 'Allie' Coat. The flawlessly cut knee-length coat features a tab-detailed waist and originally retailed for €1,824. Kate told a well wisher she liked the coat but William thought it "a bit bright". I love this photo (not least due to Kate's expression) but it shows the coat very well.

For an Easter Sunday Service in Sydney, the Duchess wore a bespoke dove grey Alexander McQueen coat. The understated sophistication of this piece and the exquisite structure and fit made this a great choice.

For the second time during the tour, the Duchess selected a vivid green coat, this time for engagements in Canberra. The Catherine Walker design didn't work for me and now the tour is over, I can say it was my least favourite tour look. Reaction to the garment differed, and it will be interesting to see how this one fares in the poll.

Kate wore two coats for the final day of the royal tour. Firstly her Temperley London 'Noa' Coat with diamond jacquard design and a pleated hem, for a dawn service.

Finally, Kate surprised us all by choosing a Michael Kors coatdress for Anzac Day events. The piece itself is 'very Kate' and initially we thought it was by one of her favourites such as Emilia Wickstead. The indigo twill jacquard swing coat is from the designer's Spring 2014 Collection and proved a splendid look for the Duchess.

I'm torn between the Michael Kors and the cornflower blue Alexander McQueen coat. They're both quite different but work beautifully. Do share your selections in the comments section below!

In other news, Buckingham Palace has released details of Royal Family attendance at events to commemorate the centenary of the First World War on August 4. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will travel to Belgium to attend a service of remembrance at Liege. They will then travel to Saint-Symphorien Military Cemetery, a Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery in Mons, Belgium where they will be joined by Prince Harry.

Unless you're under a rock, you'll have heard Prince William and the newly-single Prince Harry (who saw the break up with Cressida Bonas coming? I certainly didn't) have arrived in Memphis for the wedding of their close friend Guy Pelly who will marry Holiday Inn heiress Lizzy Wilson tomorrow. The coverage has been immense and interest in the US is huge. William and Harry appear to be having a great time and visited Elvis Presley's home Graceland today.

Below we see the bride and groom-to-be arriving for their rehearsal dinner.

Kate elected not to attend the wedding and stayed with Prince George. It is reported the Duchess will spend the weekend at Bucklebury with the Middletons and enjoy a relaxing couple of days with her family following the royal tour.
